Remains On Top Of The Charts

IMA Winners CD Compilation, "Now Hear This" Vol. 2007 Remains On Top Of The eMusic Charts.

Since it first debuted on the eMusic Charts in February, the IMA Winners CD, has remained on top - beating out the likes of media darlings, Arcade Fire, White Stripes, Of Montreal and even the Man In Black, Johnny Cash.

Ranking consistently high on the Top Artist, Top Album and Top Label charts, this year's IMA Winners have made new fans and sales as a result of their affiliation with the Independent Music Awards.

eMusic subscribers are listening, downloading, purchasing and spreading the word about IMA artists - here's what some of them have posted on the eMusic site:

"...I ended up downloading nine of these tracks, and even picked up the Novalima album available on eMusic." Suzdel - NYC

"...Some cool stuff in here. Perfect for sending you in new musical directions. Love the Guggenheim Grotto track. Picked up the album. Well worth it! Cheers." we-are-borg - Dublin, Ireland

"...I've already picked up a couple of artists I want to check out a bit more, which is the whole purpose behind making it free." caesartg

"...I like the variety - love Blues (2 great songs), love some Country (another 2 great songs, and some good Alt, Pop and stuff I wouldn't normally listen to. I downloaded 23 tracks." Conorf - San Francisco, CA

"...A very nice album! I didn't know any of the artists before, it really broadened my music interest." Willem - Amsterdam

"...A nice sampling. Radio is crap. This is the best way to hear new music and find little-known but deserving artists." Tiger Bunny - Los Angeles, CA

"Thank you, eMusic and Music Resource Group. There is something for everyone on this top-notch eclectic collection, done right. Some of it wasn't for me, but here are a few stand-out tracks that caught my ear immediately: "Hard Times" by Watermelon Slim & The Workers, "I Adore You" by Paul & Price and especially "Overdue" by Bitter:Sweet. Too many others to mention." AddictionKicks - New York, NY

"...If you like Electronic or Trip Hop: Paul and Price - I Adore You. If you like old school Jazz (i.e. Django Reinhardt) Duane Andrews' - Isaac's Blues. For those of you who want to hear something akin to KT Tunstall meets Over the Rhine meets Macy Gray, try Bitter:Sweet - Overdue. World music lovers (Spanish I think): Ana Laan is decent - jazzy, cool."
soundsprettysweet - Boston, MA

"Haven't really checked out the whole thing thanks to me hitting the repeat button on the opener Kristy Kruger's "Gold Rush". That track is so dope. But yeah Speech...On Speech...Take me to another place."
Fabi - El Centro, CA

"Almost three hours of IMA winners for free? I can't help but shake the feeling we should be paying for music this good, but that's the point; whet your appetite with the free tracks, then dig deeper into the artists you want to hear more." Tricky Hipster - Ohio

"wiiiiiide variety but overall, excellent music. pick and choose your favorites. i've grabbed almost all of them." tkp42 - Collinsville, VA

"A few more artists added to my stash as a result of this one"
K9disc - San Francisco, CA
