AIR (Australian Independent Record Labels Association Ltd) is a non profit, non government peak trade association that supports the development and growth of Australia's independent record industry.

AIR represents Australian owned record labels based in Australia. It currently represents some 350 record labels which in turn represents approximately 2,500 Australian acts. While there are undoubtedly thousands of unsigned artists who release their own CDs, in terms of businesses choosing to operate as labels, AIR represents at least 85% of the Australian independent sector.

Our Activities and projects range from hosting trade stands promoting Australian music at international music business conventions, promotional compilations to promote new Australian music, running business development seminars for aspiring music entrepreneurs, plus a whole range of fee based services for members including CD duplication and grant brokering.
